TRENDING: Truck carrying helicopter causes traffic while trying to pass under EDSA flyover
A trailer truck carrying a helicopter was seen struggling to pass below the flyover on EDSA Balintawak, causing heavy traffic in the area and leaving motorists confused.
In a Reel posted on Facebook on Sunday, April 27, a social media user, through a first-person point-of-view, pans the camera toward the unmoving vehicles, including trucks and vans.
"Traffic na dito sa Balintawak, ang haba ng traffic," he says in a voice-over. "Ang dahilan po nito, feeling ko, 'yung nakasakay sa trailer, 'di magkasya doon sa ilalim ng (tulay ng) Balintawak."
"Araw ng Linggo, dapat walang traffic dito. Kaya lang dahil doon sa helicopter, saksakan ng traffic," he added.
In another Reel posted on the same day, the truck in question can be seen backing up as motorists and bystanders are observing.
Horns and some screams can be heard in the background.
A representative of Metro Manila Development Authority told PhilSTAR L!fe in a phone call that they responded with traffic assistance "as soon as possible."
"'Yung traffic enforcer namin on the ground, on-site, pinamaniobra lang 'yung trailer truck para po doon dumaan sa portion ng foot bridge na mayroong enough elevation para maka-pass through 'yung helicopter,” they said.
According to the representative, they still don't have details on why the trailer truck was there.
