Russian mother, 53, marries 22-year-old adopted son
A 53-year-old woman from Russia sparked controversy after tying the knot with her adopted son, who is 31 years younger than her.
Citing local media, The Straits Times reported that Aisylu Chizhevskaya Mingalim exchanged "I do's" with her adopted child Daniel Chizhevsky in Kazan, Tatarstan Republic on Oct. 20.
The bride met the groom at an orphanage where she gave him singing lessons in his yesteryears. She raised Daniel since he was 14 years old and eventually had romantic feelings for him.
"Our relationship is perfect. We can’t live without each other. We are on the same wavelength," she said.
According to The Mirror, Mingalim has a biological child with her previous partner. She also has other adopted kids—four girls and one boy. Child welfare officials have taken them from her after the couple's controversial wedding.
Mingalim, for her part, revealed her plans of getting her children back and moving to Moscow so they can "live freely" as one family.
