PH logs 11,028 new COVID-19 cases, 41,205 recoveries on Easter Sunday

The Philippines has logged 11,028 new COVID-19 cases today, April 4, pushing the country’s total cases to 795,051.

This puts the country’s total active cases to 135,526, or 17% percent of the total people infected with COVID.

Meanwhile, the Department of Health also reported 41,205 recoveries and two deaths.

Yesterday, April 3, Malacañang Palace announced that the enhanced community quarantine in the NCR Plus bubble is extended until Sunday, April 11.

"Pagdating sa ating health capacity na kailangan pataasin, dito sa lingo ng karagdagang ECQ, meron tayong 110 additional moderate to severe beds na bubuksan na po at magiging operational sa Quezon Institute," Preidential Spokesperson Harry Roque said.

He added, "Pagkatapos ng one week, kung napatunayan na gumana ang PDITR (Prevent, Detect, Isolate, Treat, and Reintegrate) pwede na tayong mag MECQ sa susunod na linggo, pero titignan po muna natin ang resulta ng karagdagang ECQ."
