Over 1,500 lives were lost when the RMS Titanic sank in the North Atlantic Ocean after hitting an iceberg during her maiden voyage from Southampton, England, to New York City, USA, in April 1912.

Life insurance company Prudential, which had been in service for over 60 years when the incident happened, was the first to come to the aid of the victims and their families, having paid a total of £14,239 in claims for 324 lives a month later. That is only one of many contributions prudential has given the world, especially in the realm of life and financial security.

In celebration of its 175th anniversary, including 100 years in Asia, Prudential plc, through its Philippine subsidiary Pru Life UK, is ready to continue serving its Filipino clients for the next 175 years and beyond, including 27 years and counting in the Philippines.Eng Teng Wong, Pru Life UK President and Chief Executive Officer

Moreover, Beaufils thanked Pru Life UK for their sponsorship of the UK’s Chevening Programme, developing the next generation of leaders and decision-makers in the Philippines through fully-funded scholarships to study in the UK.
