A phone snatcher who was riding a motorcycle was killed after he was hit by the victim's car in the middle of a chase in Las Piñas.

According to GMA News' Unang Balita report, CCTV footage showed a high-speed chase between a car and a motorcycle past midnight on April 1, Tuesday.

The car eventually hit the motorcycle before speeding off.

A witness said it was intentional because the motorcycle rider took the car owner's phone.

Another witness also cited the snatching and said that the motorcycle rider eventually succumbed to his injuries.

The car owner surrendered to authorities, per the report. It is not yet clear whether the car owner is facing charges or whether cases have been filed.

Authorities refused to comment on the case pending investigation, according to the media outlet.
