LIST: Forbes reveals 50 richest Filipinos in 2026

Forbes has released its 2026 list of the Philippines’ 50 richest people, revealing a year of major shifts among the country’s wealthiest tycoons.

The collective fortune of the Philippines’ richest fell to $79 billion (P4.8 trillion) this year from $86 billion (P5.2 trillion) in 2025 due to energy shock from the Iran conflict.

Despite the overall drop, several billionaires managed to grow their fortunes. Ports billionaire Enrique Razon Jr. emerged as the biggest winner, claiming the top spot for the first time with a record net worth of $21.8 billion (P1.3 trillion), boosted by the global expansion of his company International Container Terminal Services.

Meanwhile, the Sy siblings of the SM Group slipped to second place after their fortune declined to $9.2 billion (P559 billion), while San Miguel chairman and CEO Ramon Ang moved up to the third spot despite a slight dip in his net worth at $3.5 billion (P212 billion).

Forbes noted that only 14 of this year’s listees became wealthier compared to last year, while the fortunes of 33 others declined.
