PRC awards SM Prime Holdings, Inc. certificates of compliance
The Professional Regulation Commission-Board of Electrical Engineering (PRC-BEE) and the Institute of Integrated Electrical Engineers of the Philippines (IIEE) awarded SM Prime Holdings Inc. (SMPHI) a certificate of compliance to RA 7920 or the Electrical Engineering Law.
PRC-BEE chairman Francis V. Mapile, PRC-BEE board member Jaime V. Mendoza, IIEE national president Lyndon R. Bague, and PRC-NCR chief of regulation division Nhonha Lie A. Simbre conferred the certificates during the opening of the 9th IIEE Metro Manila Regional Conference held at the Meralco Compound Multi-Purpose Hall, Pasig on July 7.
SM Engineering, Design, and Development (EDD) operations executive Engr. Charles L. Singson, managers Engr. Jessey Leigh Dawn S. Lipata, Engr. Joselito A. Reyes Jr., and corporate compliance officer Charlene G. Singson received the awards.
SM Prime Holdings, Inc. (SMPHI) was also recognized for the employment of electrical engineers which exceeded the minimum requirement of the law under Sec. 33 (b) and Sec. 36, Posting of Certificates in conspicuous places of Republic Act No. 7920.
A Job Career Opportunity Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) signing also happened between SM EDD Corporation and the IIEE. SM EDD was represented by Engr. Charles L. Singson, while National President Lyndon R. Bague and JCO Chairman Orville John M. Borrega represented the IIEE. The MOA provides additional opportunities for electrical engineers to be hired by the SM Group of companies nationwide.
