Rhian Ramos opens up on breakup with Sam Verzosa, denies Wil Dasovich was third party
Rhian Ramos has broken her silence about her breakup with Sam Verzosa, while also shutting down rumors linking Wil Dasovich to their split.
In her guest appearance on Fast Talk With Boy Abunda, Ramos opened up about their breakup for the first time.
"Yes, we've broken up already. We're not in a romantic relationship anymore and I think it's only now that I feel comfortable saying that because he's confirmed it already also in an interview and I read about it na," she shared.
"We broke up in October of last year. I mean, of course, it's a relationship between two people, so it is quite private. But I just want everyone to know that we're in a peaceful place now," she said, adding that they are both focusing on being the better versions of themselves.
She added that while they mostly have no communication to give themselves time to heal, they still text each other if there is something they need to discuss.
"You need that so that you're not confused and you have time to heal and move on. But we are able to talk to each other, or text each other if there's something that we need to talk about," she told the King of Talk.
"Sometimes kasi you need to move far away from it so that you can see the big picture and kind of let that heal you," she added.
Abunda brought up Wil Dasovich and whether he was involved in their breakup, to which she denied.
"This is one of the most crazy and embarrassing parts of everything that I've been reading about myself lately because it's so unconnected and I don't know why anyone would bring him into an issue like this," Ramos said, stressing that Wil is just a friend.
"He's one of my guy friends, and he has been for a long time, and it's so embarrassing that he would suddenly come up and people will say na, I mean, I don't know what purpose, like what's that for? To slut shame me or to make me look like a cheater? Anyway, we're just friends," she said.
Ramos then emphasized that Dasovich has nothing to do with her split with Verzosa.
"Yes, not at all. And sorry to Wil and his family that someone brought you into this," she said.
The couple sparked split rumors after eagle-eyed social media users noticed that they were no longer following each other on Instagram.
Ramos and Verzosa confirmed their relationship in 2022 when they arrived at the GMA Gala holding hands.
