Beauty queen-turned-actress Kylie Verzosa is set to host the upcoming Miss Cosmo 2024

On its social media pages, the international pageant announced that the 32-year-old beauty queen will host the preliminary and grand finale events on October 4 and 5, respectively.

"The Miss Cosmo Organization is thrilled to announce that internationally renowned Filipina actress, model, presenter, and beauty queen, Kylie Verzosa, will serve as the host for the Preliminary Night and Grand Finale of Miss Cosmo 2024," the caption read.

Miss Cosmo also said that Kylie, who was crowned Binibining Pilipinas International 2016 and Miss International 2016, is one of the "celebrated figures" in the entertainment industry, entrepreneurship, and philanthropy, making her fit for the role.

"Verzosa [brings] her elegance, charisma, and world-class stage presence to one of the most anticipated events of the year."

It added, "Verzosa is a celebrated figure not only for her pageantry achievements but also for her multifaceted career in entertainment, entrepreneurship, and philanthropy."

"As the host of Miss Cosmo 2024, Verzosa is poised to elevate the event with her grace, poise, and captivating presence. With her vast experience in pageantry and her influence as an empowered woman, she is the perfect choice to lead both the Semifinals and Grand Finals, inspiring contestants and audiences alike," the post concluded.

The preliminary round for Miss Cosmo 2024 will be held on Thursday, Oct. 4, while its coronation night is on the following day. Both events will be held at the Phu Tho Stadium in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.

Ahtisa Manalo, a Quezon Province native, will represent the Philippines in the pageant after finishing as the second runner-up in Miss Universe Philippines 2024.

On Sept. 13, she won the “First Station” of the People’s Choice Award, where she earned a special "Hope Star" boost (x2 voting points) in the Big Bang—the final stage of the voting. She is also entitled to a private photo shoot, a VIP party, 24-hour media team support, and a chance to take over Cosmo’s Instagram page.

During the pageant's national costume round, Ahtisa paraded fashion designer Ehrran Montoya’s vibrant orange ensemble that depicts the Filipino mermaid character, Dyesebel. The costume has fabrics mirroring the ocean, shimmering scales, beaded patterns, and hand- and head-pieces similar to a mermaid’s tail.

Ahtisa has previously represented the country in Miss International 2018 and was crowned first runner-up.
