Conjoined twin Abby Hensel's husband faces paternity suit after wedding
The husband of Abby Hensel, who became known for her TV guestings with her conjoined twin Brittany, is revealed to have been hit with a paternity suit a week after news about their wedding went viral on social media.
Citing court documents, E! News reported on Thursday, April 4 that Abby's partner Josh Bowling is facing a paternity lawsuit that was filed by his former wife Annica in October 2023. According to the entertainment outlet, records show that a genetic test was put in place this month, but the results have not yet been made public.
As stated in the report, Josh and Annica called it quits in 2019 after being married for nine years. They finalized their divorce in 2020.
The ex-couple shares an 8-year-old daughter. In the same year of their divorce settlement, Annica welcomed another child, whom they are calling their kid's "half-sister" in court documents.
Abby and Josh have yet to publicly address the matter.
This comes a week after TODAY reported about Abby's 2021 wedding, citing public records that they obtained. DailyMail also shared a video of their first dance as husband and wife on TikTok.
Abby and Brittany rose to fame in 1996 following their appearance on The Oprah Winfrey Show when they were just six years old.
They had their own reality show dubbed Abby & Brittany on TLC in 2012, which revolved around their lives as conjoined twins. The TV offering only had one season.
In a 2003 documentary, Brittany revealed her and Abby's desire to become mothers in the future.
"Yeah, we're going to be moms. We haven't thought about how being moms is going to work yet. But we're just 16, we don't need to think about that right now," she said at the time.
