Famous vegetarian restaurant Corner Tree Cafe is closing its doors at Jupiter Street, Makati City on Sept. 30.

The cafe made the announcement on its social media pages on Thursday, July 11.

“Farewell to all our beloved customers in Jupiter Street. We will be closing our doors on Sept. 30, 2024,” they wrote.

“It has been our honor and joy to serve you for the last 15 years,” they added. “If we do reopen, you’ll find us. Until then, peace to all,” they added.

It said that after the closing, they will continue to accept orders for take-out and delivery from their cloud kitchen at 5782 Felipe St., in Poblacion. Further details have yet to be announced.

Its patrons expressed their support in the post’s comments section.

“Oh no! Hope you can find an adequate replacement. Hang in there,” a Facebook user wrote.

“I hope you guys come back. Such good memories eating at your place,” another one commented.

“I will miss your version of arroz ala cubana,” another one added.

In May 2023, they ceased operations of their Power Plant Mall branch in Rockwell.

Corner Tree Cafe first opened its doors in 2009. It offers vegetarian dishes, vegan options, and some gluten-free dishes.

The small cozy cafe was a popular spot for romantic date nights, family dinners, and group hangouts.

Apart from its local patrons, they have also catered to both local and international celebrities, such as Anthony Pangilinan and Maricel Laxa-Pangilinan, James Reid, Ed Sheeran, Ariana Grande, Bruno Mars, Coldplay, and Alanis Morissette, as seen on their Instagram page
