Brass Against says frontwoman who peed on fan’s face onstage during performance was ‘carried away’

A band said its frontwoman was “carried away” after it peed on a fan’s face in the middle of a performance, an incident that is now being investigated by the local police.

According to reports, Brass Against was performing at the “Welcome to Rockville” festival in Daytona Beach, Florida when the band’s singer Sophia Urista, who competed in The Voice in 2016, called a male fan in the crowd to go up onto the stage. The band was then doing a cover of Rage Against the Machine’s Wake Up

Sophia got carried away.

After Urista motioned for the man to lie down on the stage, she then pulled her pants down and urinated on the fan’s face. Videos of the incident showed the man thrilled after the act.

A report, however, stated that local police is now looking into the incident after receiving a report under a possible charge of “indecent exposure.”

The band afterwards posted a statement on their Twitter account.

“We had a great time last night at Welcome to Rockville. Sophia got carried away. That's not something the rest of us expected, and it's not something you'll see again at our shows. Thanks for bringing it last night, Daytona,” Brass Against said. (Bim Santos)
