The much-awaited Philippine concert of Backstreet Boys member Nick Carter in Manila and Cebu on May 23 and 24, respectively, is canceled "due to unforeseen circumstances."

In a social media post, concert promoter Wilbros Live regretfully informed Pinoy fans that the singer's "Who I Am 2024" concert in the country will no longer proceed as scheduled.

"Due to unforeseen circumstances, we regret to inform you that Nick Carter's concert in Cebu on May 23 and in Manila on May 24 will no longer proceed as scheduled. We apologize for any disappointment or inconvenience," the statement began, adding the singer "hopes to reschedule these shows in the near future."

Furthermore, the concert promoter advised the customers to email their respective ticket sellers for a refund.

According to the post, customers in Cebu who purchase tickets at SM Tickets may email [email protected] with the subject [Refund Request: Nick Carter - Cebu] or visit smtickets.com/refund.

Meanwhile, ticket holders who purchased tickets at TicketNet online will automatically be refunded to the original purchaser's credit card/debit card used upon purchase. This will take up to 30 business days to process and return to their cards.

On the other hand, fans who bought tickets at TicketNet outlets must personally visit TicketNet in Araneta Coliseum from May 24 to June 30 only for a refund, presenting their physical ticket and a valid ID.

Earlier in February, Wilbros Live announced that Nick would be bringing his solo "Who I Am Tour" to the Philippines with a stop in Manila on Friday, May 24 at the New Frontier Theater and in Cebu on Thursday, May 23 at the Waterfront Hotel Ballroom.

Nick is supposed to perform "songs that we grew up with" from the '80s and early '90s, some Backstreet Boys hits, and singles from his solo albums, including Made For Us and Superman.

In 2023, Nick visited the country for the Backstreet Boys' "DNA World Tour" at the SM Mall of Asia in Pasay.
