Awra Briguela has filed a counter-affidavit in response to complaints against her regarding the Makati bar brawl she was caught in.

According to a report by Mao Dela Cruz of Super Radyo DZBB, the actress personally submitted her counter-affidavit to Senior Assistant Prosecutor Arvin Amata in Makati City Prosecutor's Office on Wednesday, Aug. 30. She was accompanied by her lawyer, Atty. Mikaelo Jaime Reyes.

Awra filed the counter-affidavit against the complainant, Mark Christian Ravana, for violation of section 1 Anti-Wiretapping law, slight physical injury, and a violation of the Safe Spaces Act.

Meanwhile, Ravana and his lawyer Atty. Nick Nangin were also present earlier for the supposed preliminary investigation but had to postpone since the witness from Awra’s camp wasn’t able to attend.

The brawl took place at the Bolthole bar in Poblacion, Makati City, on June 29. Awra was arrested following the incident and imprisoned for several days until she was granted a release order by the Makati Regional Trial Court after posting a P6,000 bail.

Awra is facing charges of physical injuries, alarm and scandal, direct assault, and disobedience to a person in authority. Ravana’s camp recently filed three additional cases against her, including light threats, grave coercion, and violation of the Safe Spaces Act.

A month after the incident, Awra made a social media comeback to promote her upcoming series Comedy Island Philippines which is set to premier on Aug. 31 on Prime Video.
