There's a new spot for those looking for third spaces to practice their active hobbies.

A new competition-standard skatepark and public tennis courts have opened at the Quezon Memorial Circle.

During its launch, Quezon City Mayor Joy Belmonte said that the spaces were created because the local government wanted the youth to have safe, high-quality spaces where they can "stay active, express themselves, develop their talents, and build meaningful connections with others."

The skatepark, a 3,758-sqm. facility, features a street course with rails, stairs, ledges, picnic tables, and a park-style bowl. Areas for beginners are separated from advanced skaters.

There's also a space for 260 spectators in the bleacher area, as well as PWD-accessible ramps.

Only skateboards and inline skates are allowed in the skatepark, and those who want to use the space must wear helmets. Elbow pads, knee pads, and wrist guards, meanwhile, are highly encouraged.

Additionally, the QMC also now houses two full lawn tennis courts measuring 1,198 sqm.

Everyone who wants to use the skatepark and tennis court must complete and sign a waiver before entry.

They can stay tuned to the QC Government's Facebook page for the schedule, guidelines, and applicable fees.

The QMC houses the Quezon Memorial Shrine, Quezon City Heritage House, Presidential Car Museum, and Bahay Modernismo.

Recently, it also added a misting system to help those in the park cool down.
