Four Filipinas make Fortune's 100 'Most Powerful Women Asia' for 2026
Four Filipino leaders in fintech, banking, and real estate landed on Fortune's Most Powerful Women Asia list for 2026.
Securing their spots were Martha Sazon of Mynt/GCash, Lynette V. Ortiz of Land Bank of the Philippines, Lourdes Gutierrez-Alfonso of Megaworld Corporation, and Ana Maria Aboitiz Delgado of Union Bank of the Philippines.
Sazon, president and CEO of Mynt/GCash, landed in the 35th slot, up from last year's 37th. Mynt, under the trading symbol GCash, is set to become the country's largest-ever listing on the Philippine Stock Exchange. On Oct. 20, the fintech company will debut on the PSE in an IPO seen to raise around P61 billion, per Fortune.
Ortiz, at the 77th spot, down from last year's 72nd, is the president and CEO of Land Bank of the Philippines. In 2025, under her leadership, the bank earned a net income of P44 billion. This year, according to Fortune, is the third straight year of Land Bank being paying the most dividends among the country's state-owned companies.
Gutierrez-Alfonso, the president and CEO of Megaworld Corporation, was ranked 87, up from last year's 92 ranking. In 2025, Megaworld earned a record net income of P24 billion, with a revenue of P86 billion. According to Fortune, however, the first half of this year posted a profit that rose by just 5%.
Delgado, president and CEO of UnionBank, earned the 98th spot, fown from last year's 94th place. A fifth-generation Aboitiz who champions AI, she became the first woman to head the Bankers Association of the Philippines in 80 years, per Fortune.
The list was topped by DBS Group CEO Tan Su Shan. Notably, Lens Technology founder Zhou Qunfei rose 25 spots from last year to land as this year's third most powerful woman in asia.
According to Fortune, "Business power across Asia-Pacific is shifting," which is captured in this year's leaders. Technology had the biggest number of leaders on the list with 16, with banking following close at 14. This is "a reflection of Asia's formidable strength in hardware, electronics, and advanced manufacturing," wrote the magazine.
