LOOK: Fil-Australian Zoe Honeyman wins Miss Universe Philippines-Quezon City 2025
Tatalon's Zoe Hinay Honeyman is the new Miss Universe Philippines-Quezon City.
The beauty queen bested nine other candidates in the 2025 pageant's grand coronation night held at SM Skydome on Feb. 2.
In addition to winning the crown, the Australian Filipino stunner bagged numerous awards, including Best in Swimsuit and Best in Long Gown.
She also won other sponsor awards, including Miss Jell Life, Miss Icon Clinic, Miss Creamsilk, and Miss iColor.
During the pageant's question and answer portion, the 23-year-old psychology graduate, who succeeded MUPH-QC 2024 Cam Lagmay, wowed the judges with her wit answering the query: "Why is it important for your beauty to be seen by other people?"
"I'm [a] very fortunate person [because I have been] able to stand on the stage in a beauty contest like this and be celebrated by others but being beautiful should be celebrated because it comes within," she said.
"I believe I have the ability to stand here today because of the people that support me and the journey that I went through today to get here and what comes through is my heart and I believe that is the most beautiful thing."
Honeyman is a mental health and community service advocate who wants to lend her "heart for community service" while "understanding human behavior."
Though dubbed a neophyte in pageantry, Honeyman is "eager to explore and embrace her pageant journey, bringing her passion and purpose to the stage," especially when she is about to represent the city in the upcoming Miss Universe Philippines 2025.
Meanwhile, Hanna Amistad (Miss Socorro), Stella Zacarias (Miss Loyola Heights), Jam Co (Miss Baesa), and Carmel Anne Aquino (Miss Project 6) were hailed as this year's runners-up, respectively.
Though there is no word yet on when is the exact date of the local pageant, the winner of Miss Universe Philippines 2025 will succeed Miss Universe Asia 2024, Chelsea Manalo.
