Krizza Gilliam Yco, who was recently crowned Miss Universe Philippines-Pampanga 2025, has decided to step down from her title.

The organization announced her decision with regret, stating that she will no longer be the reigning queen as of Jan. 30. This decision comes shortly after her coronation and is due to her desire to prioritize her studies.

"This poignant decision comes from a place of personal growth and a determined commitment to prioritize her studies," it said. "We are filled with admiration for Krizza's courage to put her future first, and we will forever cherish the memories and the grace she brought to her reign as our queen."

Still, MUPh Pampanga expressed its support for Krizza.

"Miss Universe Philippines Pampanga Organization will always stand unwaveringly by Krizza, cheering her on in every new chapter of her life, celebrating her victories and supporting her dreams," the statement continued.
