PAGSS Premium Lounge at NAIA T3 discontinues credit card access

Published May 23, 2025 9:27 pm

The PAGSS Premium Lounge in Ninoy Aquino International Airport Terminal 3 is no longer accepting credit cards, leaving many unable to access perks such as comfortable waiting areas, snacks, complimentary WiFi, and more.

On social media, news had sparked that the premium lounge had been temporarily closed for rehabilitation since May 1. Content creator The Cenzons shared an advisory by PAGSS stating that "lounge access via lifestyle reward perks and credit card programs is not available."

The ground handling company advised customers to "visit your respective rewards program websites or mobile app for further updates."

Following this, major banks issuing credit cards such as the Rizal Commercial Banking Corporation, Banco de Oro, Security Bank, and Metrobank have now issued updates on their respective websites stating that access to the lounge in Terminal 3 will no longer be available after April 30 as it will undergo renovations.

It was not specified how long the rehabilitation will last.

While this is so, the PAGSS Premium Lounge can still be accessed in a new location on the fourth floor of the terminal and still features the same amenities. However, entry is now only reserved for business class passengers of their partner airlines such as EVA Air, ANA, Emirates, and more. But if you still want to access it, you will need to pay the standard walk-in rate of $50 or P3,000.

Meanwhile, credit card access to the PAGSS Premium Lounge remains available at NAIA Terminal 1, Clark International Airport, Davao International Airport, and Puerto Princesa International Airport.

The premium lounge is touted to "offer the best possible lounge experience for passengers waiting for their flights."

"Our lounges provide a modern and cozy ambiance for passengers, with designated sections for dining and drinking, reading or working, private discussions, or simply relaxing.  Our food and beverage selection includes a variety of Asian and continental dishes, catering to a diverse passenger profile," PAGSS detailed on its website.

The rehabilitation comes after the New NAIA Infra Corp. took over the airport’s operations in September last year and has since been bringing several changes to enhance the passenger experience at NAIA.
