Weekend hangs: Song Joong Ki fan meet, free concert, and top events this May 24-25
Looking for ways to relax this weekend other than staying in and binge-watching your favorite series? Here's some good news: Several fun events are happening this May 24 and 25.
Apart from a week of fulfilling your tasks and chasing deadlines, you deserve a nice de-stressor this weekend. Sometimes, it doesn't have to be just lying down and rotting in your bed, maybe you need to see your favorite artist or socialize more to recharge.
Here are some events happening this weekend:
Song Joong Ki fan meet
Did you love Captain Yoo Si-jin in Descendants of the Sun, or were you swooned by Korean-Italian mafia lawyer Vincenzo? You can now see Song Joong Ki, the actor behind the iconic roles, in his first-ever Manila fan meeting happening on Saturday, May 24, 7 p.m. at SM Mall of Asia Arena.

Goût de France returns to Makati
French food festival "Goût de France" is taking over Paseo De Roxas Avenue in Makati this weekend. Indulge in an array of French delicacies on May 24, from 4 p.m. to 12 a.m., and on May 25, from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m.
You'll find a fantastic array of merchants lining Paseo De Roxas, while you indulge, DJ JB Bolaños will be there to provide the music.
But if you want to learn more about French cuisine, catch an exclusive culinary demonstration by Chef Marc Chalopin, the executive chef of École Ducasse Manila at Enderun Colleges, on May 24 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Ayala Triangle Gardens (Paseo de Roxas side).
On May 25 at 3 p.m., there will also be the famous French tradition, Course des garçons de café, or Waiter’s Race. Watch as café servers compete to see who's the fastest to bring a tray of cold Evian water without a spill!
The event is free and open to everyone.
Moonstar88's "25 Years of Torete" free concert
OPM fans, unite! Moonstar88—known for their hit songs like Migraine and Gilid—will hold a free concert in celebration of the 25th anniversary of their song, Torete, on Saturday, May 24 at Eton Centris Walk, with Metro Manila Concert Orchestra as their special guest.
The registration will start at 3 p.m. The pre-show will be at 5 p.m. before the main show at 7 p.m.
You may also get freebies if you're among the first 88 registrants at Migraine, Torete, and Gilid sections.
P-pop stage: Summer Night 2025
Have a fun night with rising P-pop groups like New:ID, Calista, and Aster at the "P-pop Stage: Summer Night 2025" happening on Sunday, May 25, at 4:30 p.m. at PSE Tektite Towers Auditorium, Ortigas, Pasig City.

There will also be fun activities and a bazaar from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
For a comfortable visit, remember to bring your pet's essentials—leashes, water bowls, and waste bags—along with your own sun protection like sunscreen, hats, and a water bottle.

Treat your kids or your favorite niece or nephew to KidChella at Robinsons Galleria this weekend. Kids will be entertained with fun shows, arts and crafts activities, meet and greet with the mall's mascot, and free play.
Registration will begin at 12 p.m., and the event will run until 6 p.m.
aRUNeta Run Club
Set a new personal record with your friends, or meet new people at Araneta City's "aRuneta Run Club" on Sunday, May 25 from 5 a.m. to 9 a.m.

Crunchyroll Anime Awards
Gather all your Anime friends! Stay tuned to see if your favorite anime series and films will win the Anime of the Year, Film of the Year, and other major awards at this year's Crunchyroll Anime Awards, available for streaming on Sunday, May 25, 5 p.m. (Philippine time) on their YouTube and Twitch channels.
The awarding ceremony will also feature 17 presenters hailing from the entertainment, music, and sports industries who are self-confessed anime lovers.
Those included in the star-studded lineup are Stranger Things stars Finn Wolfhard and Gaten Matarazzo, boxer Ben Whittaker, actor-musician Rina Sawayama, and drag queen Plastique Tiara.
