Megaworld Lifestyle Malls bagged three major accolades at the 2025 Retail Asia Awards held at Marina Bay Sands in Singapore, highlighted by a remarkable third consecutive win for Mall of the Year – Philippines. Representing the company at the event were key executives: Mike Lao (Sr. AVP, Head of Mall Operations), Lorence Aurelio (VP, Head of Key Accounts and Leasing), Graham Coates (First VP, Head of Megaworld Lifestyle Malls), Tinay Villanueva (Sr. AVP, Head of Brand and Marketing), and Camsy Elviña (Cluster General Manager). The awards were presented by Simon Hyett from Charlton Media Group, the publisher of Retail Asia.

“Winning the biggest award as Mall of the Year for three consecutive years for our various mall properties is a big achievement for our townships. This further solidifies our vision of making each and every township a vibrant and exciting community where people can enjoy the concept of PLAY—one of the integral components of our LIVE-WORK-PLAY model for our township developments. We congratulate the creative men and women of our Megaworld Lifestyle Malls for these milestones in our company’s history,” said Lourdes Gutierrez-Alfonso, President of Megaworld Corporation.

The historic three-peat was secured through consecutive wins for Festive Walk Iloilo (2023), Eastwood City (2024), and now Uptown Bonifacio (2025)—making Megaworld the only Philippine mall operator to achieve this rare industry feat.

Uptown Bonifacio: A Launchpad for the Future of Retail
Uptown Bonifacio was awarded the Mall of the Year – Philippines title at the 2025 Retail Asia Awards, recognized for its vibrant mix of global brands, homegrown lifestyle concepts, chef-driven dining, and dynamic nightlife and entertainment—delivering a cutting-edge urban experience.

A beacon of innovation, Uptown Bonifacio exemplifies how retail, lifestyle, entertainment, and sustainability can converge in a future-ready destination. More than just a mall, it has become a launchpad for global brands entering the Philippine market, while championing the rise of homegrown lifestyle concepts.

From Tesla’s first Philippine showroom to Morton’s The Steakhouse and the Tempur Cinema, Uptown Bonifacio has reshaped what it means to be a modern mall—one that adapts, evolves, and leads with visionary design, curated experiences, and sustained business performance.

Lucky Chinatown: Bridging Culture and Commerce
Lucky Chinatown was named Themed Mall of the Year, honored for its distinctive fusion of cultural heritage and contemporary retail.
The recognition underscores its commitment to crafting immersive experiences that honor tradition while embracing modern urban living in the heart of Binondo.

In the heart of Binondo, Lucky Chinatown continues to reinvent heritage-driven retail. Honored as Themed Mall of the Year, it has become a vibrant cultural hub where Filipino-Chinese traditions thrive alongside modern experiences.

With classical Chinese architecture, high-performing retail zones, and standout community events like Chinese New Year and the Mid-Autumn Festival, the mall attracts high foot traffic and a loyal customer base. The presence of the Chinatown Museum further deepens its storytelling, offering visitors a meaningful connection to one of the oldest Chinatowns in the world.

Eastwood City: The Benchmark for Integrated Townships

Eastwood City earns the title of Integrated Mixed-Use Mall of the Year, celebrated for its lively township environment that seamlessly combines shopping, dining, entertainment, and residential living. As the country’s first-ever township development, Eastwood City continues to set the standard for urban living with its community-centric approach and well- rounded lifestyle offerings.

One of Megaworld’s pioneering developments, Eastwood City was named Integrated Mixed-Use Mall of the Year for its dynamic township model that blends retail, business, residential living, and entertainment in one walkable, community-centric environment.

As the first pet-friendly mall in the Philippines, Eastwood City set new standards by introducing pet parks, animal welfare partnerships, and al fresco dining—paving the way for more inclusive urban spaces. Anchored by Eastwood Mall, Citywalk, and Cyber & Fashion Mall, the township offers a full range of lifestyle experiences, from family recreation to vibrant nightlife.
