LIST: Beat the price increase with these fuel deals and promos
A double-digit oil price hike is expected to roll out next week.
Following several days of trading on the Mean of Platts Singapore, industry sources told The Philippine STAR that diesel could jump by nearly P20 per liter, while gasoline may rise by around P10 per liter. This comes amid rising tensions in the Middle East, which are affecting global oil supplies and pushing fuel costs higher for consumers.
Motorists have lined up at gasoline stations to stock up and dodge the impending price hike. Energy Secretary Sharon Garin said oil firms appear "amenable" to staggering next week’s price hike.
“We’re trying to find a way na doing different scenarios, moderate or extreme scenarios, if it takes too long this war, so inaaral pa namin yan. We have to decide what are the interventions that we will do, that the objective is to keep the price of electricity low," she added.
If you're looking for more ways to save, here are some fuel promos you can enjoy.
Seaoil
Motorists can lock in today’s fuel price and redeem their liters at a later time through SEAOIL’s PriceLOCQ.
Users may also get exclusive fuel discounts when they top up their Liter Balance via the PriceLOCQ app using an RCBC Mastercard, Visa, or JCB Credit Card. Discounts include P5 per liter off for Extreme 97, P4 per liter off for Extreme 95 and Extreme U, and P2 per liter off for Diesel.
The promo runs until May 15 at participating SEAOIL stations nationwide.
If you have an Atome card, you can enjoy P5 off per liter via PriceLOCQ. You may top up a maximum of 150 liters per month. This promo is valid until Oct. 14.
EastWest Bank
EastWest Visa credit cardholders can enjoy fuel savings with a P7 per liter discount on all fuels when they pay at Unioil.
Cardholders may avail of up to three transactions per day, with a combined maximum of 80 liters. The promo is valid only for direct-to-vehicle tank loading and does not apply to PO accounts, corporate fleets, public utility vehicles, business commercial vehicles, or vehicles with fuel tank capacities exceeding 120 liters.
The promo runs until March 31.
EastWest credit cardholders with good credit standing can also enjoy P4 off per liter until Dec. 31.
UNIOIL
If you don't have an EastWest visa credit card, you can use your S&R Membership card to enjoy up to P5 off at Unioil.
Shell Philippines
For qualified UnionBank credit cardholders, make sure to redeem the voucher code you received to enjoy a P3 discount per liter.
To enjoy the offer, simply head over to a participating Shell Mobility Station in Metro Manila. The P3 per liter fuel discount voucher may be used multiple times during the promo period, provided the minimum purchase requirement is met.
A maximum of 40 liters, or up to P120 in discount, may be applied per transaction. Multiple transactions cannot be made from a single receipt purchase, and the discount cannot be exchanged for cash.
This promo is valid until March 9.
SEAcharge
For EV users, SEACharge is offering free EV charging through SEACharge at select SEAOIL stations from March 9 to April 9.
Customers are entitled to one hour of free AC charging at participating SEAOIL stations, including SEAOIL Rosario in La Union, SEAOIL Shaw Boulevard, SEAOIL J.P. Rizal in Makati, and SEAOIL EDSA in Quezon City.
Those in the area may simply drop by, sign up, and charge their electric vehicles during the promo period.
