LIST: Emergency contact numbers for Pinoys in the Middle East

Tensions are high in the Middle East after Israel and the US launched strikes against Iranian targets.

Following the Feb. 28 attack, militant group Hezbollah retaliated against Israel. Tehran also struck the Gulf states Qatar, Bahrain, and the UAE.

Amid the conflict, the Philippine Embassy confirmed that one Filipina died in an airstrike in Tel Aviv, Israel.

Meanwhile, the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration advised OFWs in the Middle East to follow announcements from the Philippine Embassies and local authorities regarding the security situation.

"Pinapayuhan ang lahat na subaybayan ang opisyal na anunsyo ng Philippine Embassy at verified accounts ng host government, tukuyin ang pinakamalapit na shelter at maging handa sa anumang emergency alert, [at] iwasan ang mga lugar na may potensyal na panganib," it said.

Free roaming for Pinoys in Middle East

Amid the conflict, Globe is offering free roaming data, calls, and texts for Globe prepaid, postpaid, and TM users in Saudi Arabia, UAE, Bahrain, Qatar, and Kuwait.

The telecom is also providing load support and bill adjustments for those in Iran.

Meanwhile, Manny V. Pangilinan said he has also asked PLDT and Smart to offer free calls for Filipinos in countries affected by the conflict in the Middle East.
