Kris Aquino bares real score with Mark Leviste: 'People really grow apart'

Published Sep 01, 2023 4:27 pm

Kris Aquino took to social media to reveal the real score between her and Batangas Vice Gov. Mark Leviste.

Kris shared screenshots of her conversation with Mark, labeling it as "My TRUTH," on her Instagram Stories on Sept. 1.

In the conversation, she asked whether he's tired of the unanswered messages.

"It took me two weeks and a half to feel that I no longer really feel the need to keep communication lines open with you," she wrote. "Whatever is going on in my life or in yours, parang nawala na the desire for me to know what's happening with you or for me to keep you informed."

Kris noted she hasn't "been influenced by anyone," saying she just fell back to her pattern of reading a book every two to three days, the New York Times, and the magazines she likes, as well as "coping with the hardships my body must endure."

"I want to remain polite but this is really what happens when we are so far from each other—people really do grow apart," she said.

"Thank you for keeping in touch but I'd really prefer if you don't," Kris continued. "It's really a lot more peaceful now."

"And that's always been my prayer. Serenity and peace," she ended.

Mark's message was cropped, but a part of it read, "I don't know exactly how to respond to your message."

He first reached out to Kris in 2019, when she wrote an Instagram post asking single men aged 41 to 55 to add her on Facebook. Leviste was up to the challenge and commented: "Looking for someone single, aged 41?"

In March 2020, during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic when everybody is cooped up at home, Kris shared an art card that read, "Choose those who choose you," as she held a "love life forum" with followers. Mark replied he's choosing her, only for her to reject his offer.

But Kris seemed to have come around a year later, when they were reportedly spotted on a dinner date. That same year, however, she minced no words in describing the "red flags" of Mark, like mixing up girls' names and possessing an easily disposable old phone that's supposedly used for keeping secrets.

Last January, Mark posted about welcoming 2023 together with Kris. He fondly called her the “Queen” in their Instagram post, where he can be seen enjoying a meal with the TV host and bonding with her children. Later on, he confirmed that they've been together since.

Kris confirmed her past relationship and split with Mark on July 10, saying that she had to put it on pause due to her current situation abroad.

On the first week of August, Kris said she gave Mark a trinity ring.

Kris's Sept. 1 Instagram Story is the latest in their topsy-turvy romance.

She's been on and off social media, disclosing to the public her string of medical conditions, including autoimmune diseases that are "life-threatening," as well as the series of tests and procedures she's undergoing.

Kris was formerly married to basketball star James Yap. Her last reported romance was with former Quezon City mayor and actor Herbert Bautista.
