Kris Aquino confirms past relationship, breakup with Mark Leviste
Kris Aquino confirmed that she was in a relationship with Mark Leviste, but they had to put it on pause due to her health concerns and current situation in the United States.
The multimedia personality penned a “long overdue gratitude post” for the politician on Instagram on Monday, July 10 as she shared that the latter has to go back home to fulfill his duties as the vice governor of Batangas.
“Nobody I’ve ever been in a relationship with has ever given me as much love and encouragement. He wasn’t only my boyfriend, he became my best friend and confidante, talagang maaasahan,” she wrote, noting that she correctly used “was” in her post.
Kris gave an update on her health condition, which she said “has gotten progressively worse,” as shown even in her physical manifestations. “The pain is so bad that taking a few steps, kinakaya ko but longer walks, kailangan nang mag-wheelchair.”
She then opened up about her and Mark’s past romance, which she had to put on pause due to her current situation abroad. “With my condition the way it is now, I’m self-aware enough to know that a long-distance relationship will be next to impossible for us to maintain,” she explained.
“For the Filipinos working all over the world, I know I’m blessed to have Kuya Josh and Bimb with me—but most moms reading this will agree, we don’t want our kids to suffer from anxiety about our health, especially kung solo parent ka like me,” she added.
The “Queen of All Media” expressed her heartfelt gratitude to the Batangas governor for being by her side, especially when she was away from her children. “But our reality is that there’s a Pacific Ocean that divides us, a 15-hour time difference, and a 13-hour flight,” she said, adding that he will always have a place in her heart.
“We may not have had our ‘happily ever after’ but being sick has really taught me to look at the glass half full—thank you for giving me the chance to again experience the magic of Once Upon a Time,” she concluded.
Kris and Mark sparked dating rumors after the politician posted about welcoming 2023 with her in the United States. The actress has been undergoing treatment for her five autoimmune diseases since June 2022.
