Kris Aquino explains why she gave Mark Leviste a trinity ring

Kris Aquino confirmed that she gave her ex-boyfriend, politician Mark Leviste a trinity ring as she explained the reason behind it.

The multimedia personality recently talked about her present for the Vice Governor of Batangas in the comment section of a fan page's post showing the Cartier item, which represents "love, friendship, and fidelity" according to the luxury brand's official website.

"We’re trying our best to make what we have work, and if I’m being 100% honest, a lot of my motivation comes from the fact that Kuya, Bimb, and I feel genuine affection and concern for his daughter (she’s private so I will refrain from mentioning her name) and his youngest C2—I had posted about him in the past so it’s okay. C2 and Bimb are the same age and he’s staying with us," she wrote, adding that she feels "very blessed" since it's "difficult for kids to get along with their respective parent’s new partner and his or her kids."

While she admitted that they still need to work on communicating and not misinterpreting what they say to each other, Kris said that the most important thing is they both put their children on top of their priorities.

"The reason I gave him the ring was, first of all, we were very much together then but whether we can make the journey together reach the finish line: the love, friendship, and the fidelity (meaning loyalty [and] commitment) to honor [and] respect what was and what is shall remain solid," she explained.

"I am realistic, I’m battling [five] autoimmune conditions and the odds of me getting to the point of remission are very much against me, so I’m learning to be grateful for each day I wake up, that’s why I avoid discussing the future—I continue to be grateful that we have a merciful [and] loving God who listens to your prayers. Thank you because YOU GIVE ME HOPE," she added.

Mark, for his part, left a short but sweet comment in the same thread: "I [heart] You."

Kris confirmed her past relationship and split with Mark on July 10, saying that she had to put it on pause due to her current situation abroad. “With my condition the way it is now, I’m self-aware enough to know that a long-distance relationship will be next to impossible for us to maintain,” she explained in a now-deleted Instagram post.

She expressed her heartfelt gratitude to the politician for being by her side, especially when she was away from her sons Josh and Bimb. “But our reality is that there’s a Pacific Ocean that divides us, a 15-hour time difference, and a 13-hour flight,” she said, adding that he will always have a place in her heart. 

Kris and Mark sparked dating rumors in January this year, after the politician posted about welcoming 2023 with her in the United States. He fondly called her the “Queen” in their Instagram snaps, where he can be seen enjoying a meal with Kris and bonding with her children.
