Nakakalocal x Avida goes to Cebu
Nakakalocal x Avida brought its "Nakakalocal Eduserye Lounge Talks" to Cebu.
Held last March 11 at the Sinamay Function Room of Seda Central Bloc, the event was attended by small and medium enterprise owners in the Queen City of the South.
Wodd Ph founder and president Dr. Stephene Roy Condino shared tips on how one can transform a hobby into a lucrative and robust business in "How to Start a Digital Home-based Business and Earn Money?"
In the talk “Real Estate Business Opportunities,” Avida Land Corp. VisMin sales head Amy Salgados gave insights on how a reliable real estate firm can help would-be business owners set up their businesses. She also presented the establishment-ready amenities that are featured in properties that are part of Avida Land’s portfolio.
Capping the event was a panel discussion titled “Profitable Businesses You Can Start at Home."
Moderator Joshien Kyla Geyrozaga was joined by panelists Bibi Doll Paradela “Zee” Pono, owner of GRND UP Consumer Goods Trading; Rey Vincent Camaso, owner of Akaw Surf Co.; and Dr. Condino.
The event was part of PhilSTAR Media Group’s Nakakalocal program, which features the flagship "Homepossible" series of Avida.
Homepossible showcases Avida's ready-for-occupancy properties nationwide to encourage homebuyers to take the steps toward getting their own Avida home.
Nakakalocal, on the other hand, was launched by PhilSTAR Media Group on June 12, 2020, at the height of the COVID-19 pandemic.
“One of the goals of this program is to create a roster of SMEs and connect them with the STAR’s institutional partners,” shares PhilSTAR Media Group executive vice president Lucien Dy-Tioco.
Maria Teresa Tatco, assistant vice president for corporate marketing and retail management of Avida Corp., says that the company remains committed to supporting local SMSEs, and that they “are proud to have partnered with The Philippine STAR” in bringing the workshop to Cebu.
The series focuses on three areas: brand awareness and reach, traffic and sending a message, and creating solid marketing campaigns that translate to sales. These are to help business owners better promote and market their products and/or services.
The Cebu leg of the event served as the kickoff of the Nakakalocal program’s regional focus as it celebrates its anniversary this June. It will have more events in Visayas and Mindanao.
