Shining a light on local furniture manufacturers and designers, AllHome, through its AllHome Builds Initiative, in collaboration with PhilSTAR Media Inc. held the AllHome x Nakakalocal Home Aesthetic Furniture Fair last Nov. 21 to 30 at Nomo Vista Lifestyle Center on Molino Blvd. in Bacoor, Cavite.

The Nakakalocal x AllHome Aesthetic Furniture Fair let customers choose different exclusive local products from the store, while also giving more Filipino-owned businesses the chance to showcase their products along with their skill and craftsmanship—which have been renowned all over the world.

AllHome Vice Chairman and Las Piñas Rep. Camille Villar, together with Sen. Mark Villar opened the AllHome x Nakakalocal Aesthetic Furniture Fair together with Philstar EVP Lucien Dy Tioco last Nov. 21 at Nomo, a Vista Lifestyle Center on Molino Blvd. in Bacoor, Cavite.

“We’re’ not only helping SMEs, we’re actually promoting their products to make us proud as Filipinos,” PhilStar EVP Lucien Dy Tioco said during his opening remarks.

“We’re actually helping the economy and as well as promoting the culture of the Filipino globally, hence our tagline ‘love local, go global.’ And today we’re really proud of the craftsmanship and the ingenuity of the SMEs in this fair.”

Senator Mark Villar, on the other hand, shared how these types of projects are close to his heart due to its Filipino-first nature.

“This year’s Nakakalocal [event], an advocacy program that showcases global products to encourage more Filipinos to support and patronize our products and thus, [generates] the much needed employment. I’m glad that we were able to give these deserving businesses a stage where they can shine,” Villar reiterated, adding that this project can encourage more Filipinos to support local.

Malaki pasasalamat ko sa PhilSTAR dahil sa tulong nila mabigyan ng paraan ang MSMEs, and of course with the help of AllHome, lahat sila nagtutulungan para mabigyan ng mas malaking suporta ang MSMEs.”

House Deputy Speaker and Las Piñas Representative Camille Villar, who is also AllHome's vice chairman, said that entrepreneurship is close to her heart, and she expressed her appreciation for the collaboration between PhilSTAR and AllHome for the Nakakalocal inititative.

“I filed House Bill 5682, designating November as “Buy Pinoy, Build Pinoy” month, which I hope in time will help entrepreneurs recover through the challenges we all shared during the pandemic,” Rep. Villar said. “AllHome has long put an emphasis of how truly world-class local design can be. Our very own local designers, especially SMEs, fly under the radar only because it is a bigger challenge to them to get merchandise support and visibility to the right markets. By partnering with PhilStar through the Nakakalocal initiative, we believe we can give them the right platform to showcase their beautiful and inspired designs. “
