Parents surprise 5-year-old with luxury car to motivate her to go to school

A Malaysian couple surprised their young daughter with a Mercedes SUV to motivate her in her studies.
In a TikTok video early this month, Farhana Zahra and her husband can be seen asking their kid Fatima what she wanted as a gift for her birthday. The latter gave them two options: a Mercedes G Wagon or a BMW car.
The parents decided to give their child her birthday wish, as seen in a recent clip, on the condition that she will attend school. It was placed in a transparent trailer decked out with heart balloons and ribbons.
In the caption, Farhana said her child is so happy about the gift that she couldn’t stop holding the car key.

Their TikTok post elicited mixed reactions from netizens. Most of them expressed their happiness for her as they greeted her a happy birthday.
“Best parents ever. God bless you with your money,” an Internet user wrote.
“Wow! Happy birthday, Fatima,” another one commented.
There were also some, however, who found it wrong and “too much.”
“How materialistic has our society come to?” said a TikTok user.
While she can’t drive it yet, her parents are hopeful that their extravagant gift could keep Fatima inspired to go to school and help her achieve her dream of becoming a doctor in the future.
