Woman marries man who accidentally hit her with speeding car

From a car accident to forever...

A woman tied the knot with the man who accidentally hit her while driving at high speed.

According to a South China Morning Post report, the couple got married this month in Hunan province in China—over a year after they crossed paths in a car accident in December 2023.

At the time, the man was rushing on the road due to an emergency before hitting the woman who was riding an electric bike.

The man stepped out of his vehicle to see if she was fine and repeatedly apologized, to which she said, “No worries.”

While the accident left her with a broken collarbone, the woman’s family opted not to file a complaint against him nor ask for compensation.

To make it up to her, the man made it a point to visit her in the hospital every day and take care of her every time he could. Three weeks later, the woman said she was already in love with him.

The man rejected him at first as he pointed out the age gap between them—he's 36, while she's 23. He later agreed to watch a movie with her as a way of apologizing for what happened.

From there, they continued to strengthen their bond and became more than friends.

The woman got pregnant in September and then got married to the man in February.

According to the man, it was the sixth car accident he had in two months. It became the last one since they met.
