Championing financial security through service
Behind InLife’s mission of bringing “A Lifetime For Good” to Filipinos are the dedicated financial advisors who achieve the highest standards of excellence.
Three financial advisors have recently achieved the Million Dollar Round Table Top of the Table distinction, the highest award, which requires six times the production requirement of a standard MDRT member.
The awardees are Mercedita F. Gurrea of Agila Financial Team General Insurance Agency; Carmen C. Yap of J & C and Associates Insurance Agency; and Annalee Ang “Lheng" De Guia of Alab General Insurance Agency.
Beyond the award is their commitment to prioritizing their clients’ needs and goals, elevating families toward financial security, and serving with heart.
Putting clients at the forefront
Gurrea shares that being a financial advisor means putting her clients’ needs and goals at the forefront.
“My work is all about understanding my clients’ dreams, fears, and aspirations, and crafting a customized financial strategy that addresses all these,” she shares.
“By doing so, I help families achieve peace of mind, security, and a brighter future, which is the ultimate expression of love and care,” adds Gurrea.
The Financial Advisor from Cebu recalls how a well-structured insurance plan helped a family secure their child's education. It also solidified her commitment to serving more Filipino families through financial planning.
“Being a financial advisor has given me the opportunity to make a real difference in people's lives, which is incredibly fulfilling.”
“One of the career rewards I enjoy is real work-life balance, allowing me to prioritize time with my loved ones while pursuing a meaningful career. This reward allows me to be more present and supportive to my family, while also growing in the profession,” adds Gurrea.
Elevating families to financial security
Yap highlights the importance of educating families on financial discipline, financial literacy, and financial roadmaps to help them achieve their goals. The financial advisor from Bukidnon notes that her work also encompasses stewardship and trust.
“My purpose is to elevate families to a place of financial security and dignity. I am committed to serving faithfully and to respond with wisdom and love, empowering my clients to experience peace, dignity, and financial security,” she says.
Yap adds that being a financial advisor is the greatest blessing she has received. “My financial advisor career shapes my perspective and attitude. It allows me to learn continuously to reach my goals in life.”
Serving with heart and intention
De Guia shares how a loved one’s battle with cancer deepened her purpose of helping others prepare for uncertainties.
“I saw how a single decision to get a policy can protect a family from uncertainties and allow them to focus on what truly matters, healing and being together.”
“As a financial advisor, my purpose is not to offer products but to help people prepare for unexpected events, protect their dignity, and give them peace of mind when life becomes most challenging,” she adds.
De Guia serves with heart and intention, not for success, but for a lifelong commitment to provide families with security.
“The financial advisor career has been more than a path of growth; it has been a journey of purpose, helping families secure their future and creating a lasting impact in their lives. Along the way, travel incentives have allowed me to see the world, create lasting memories, and appreciate the rewards of hard work.”
“The career has also given me the gift of true work-life balance and deepened my faith to rely on God for guidance and provision,” shares De Guia.
