The visual director and stylist of P-pop group BGYO has parted ways with the quintet on Jan. 10.

"After two years with BGYO, today I say goodbye," Danyl Geneciran said in a statement posted on Twitter. "I feel so lucky to have had so many incredible experiences and opportunities to explore and share throughout the years.

Geneciran said he'll be focusing on his role in fashion, publishing, and, "at some point," entertainment. He's the editor in chief of the Philippine edition of the L'Officiel magazine, having served as contributing fashion editor for its international titles.

He also co-founded Gentrend Group, a corporation of diverse brands in the area of fashion, publishing, and entertainment.

Geneciran thanked members Gelo, Akira, JL, Mikki, and Nate, describing them as his friends and brothers more than colleagues, and that he benefited "tremendously" from their talent, passion, grit, and spirit of service.

"BGYO is a special place We truly are a family," he said. "All are different, but we love each other, and we all love our mission—to find hope, to bring inspiration, and to shed light."

In the meantime, Geneciran said he'll just enjoy the beginning of 2023 with his family. He also noted that he just had the "best time" with each of the boys during their vacation.

"It was an immeasurable sense of peace and pure joy that everyone needed," he said.

On Twitter, fans expressed their thanks to Geneciran for his contribution to the group.

"And just like that Sir Danyl along with BGYO are trending right now this shows how ACEs are affected by the news," tweeted one fan.

"Sir Danyl being the lead of The Baddest Marketing Strategy team gave so much impact to BGYO's branding, truly a cultural reset for ppop," said one Twitter user.

Another one said: "sir danyl’s one of the first people who believed in our boys even at a time when they were virtually unheard of, idk what to feel about this :("

"We express our utmost gratitude to Sir Danyl Geneciran for being #BGYO’s first Visual Director. Thank you for believing in @BGYO_members and for sharing your time and expertise. We wish you all the best in your future endeavors. You will always be family."

"It is rare to have a visual director who is also a good brother, defender, marketing strategist, and a promoter to a group. Thank you Sir Danyl! Your contribution to BGYO's career is unmatchable," said another one.

Generican is also the brand director and co-founder of Privé Alliance, as well as a freelance fashion consultant.

BGYO debuted in 2021 with The Light. The group, dubbed as the "Aces of P-pop," trained under Filipino and South Korean coaches. It released its second album Be Us in 2022, and in the same year the song Tumitigil ang Mundo as part of the original soundtrack of romcom An Inconvenient Love.

(Editor's Note: An earlier version of the story incorrectly stated that BGYO sang Lagi for An Inconvenient Love.)
