Crosta, a mano among best pizza stores in the world
Two Philippine pizza stores were among the best pizzerias in the world.
Crosta Pizzeria and a mano were included in the 50 Top Pizza World 2024 awards ceremony in Naples in Italy.
Crosta, which has branches in Makati and San Juan and has an upcoming store in Molino, placed 12th in the global list.
It's known for its sourdough-style round pizzas and its Detroit and Sicilian styles with puffy and crunchy crumb. Crosta also offers vegan options.
The award-giving body highlighted the rectangular pizzas, such as the Roni Sicilian with salami. The round four-cheese pizza, featuring mozzarella, taleggio, fontina, and gorgonzola, was also a notable mention.
a mano, meanwhile, placed 70th in the ranking.
The brand, which has stores in Bonifacio Global City, Rockwell, and Gateway Mall 2, has classic and contemporary Italian offerings. It cooks its pizzas in a Valoriani, an Italian commercial gas-fired oven certified by the Associazione Verace Pizza Napoletana.
According to 50 Top Pizza, a mano's Salami Spicy and Carbonara pizza are a must-try.
