ICYDK, acclaimed photographer Shaira Luna and her friends in the creative industry are having a garage sale this weekend, May 13 and 14.

The 8th Creatives' Annual Closet Sale is happening from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the Siren Studio in Makati City.

Joining her are actress Anne Curtis, singer Zild Benitez, YouTuber Bella Racelis, and content creator Laureen Uy.

Stylists Myrrh Lao To, Bea Constantino, Dani Familara, JL Crespo, Ryuji Shiomitsu are also joining the garage sale, as with photographer Rxandy Capinpin, set designer Justine Bumanlag, RabbitHole Creatives, fashion designer Mich Dulce, creative director Vince Uy, and more.

Speaking to PhilSTAR L!fe, Shaira, a self-proclaimed hoarder, said she started this closet sale in 2015 because she needed to "let go" of some of her clothes.

"It really started because I really needed to let go of clothes that just tend to accumulate in my closet because I used to thrift—and I still thrift a lot for my personal shoots that I produce and style myself. So I just had so so many clothes and nowhere else to use them."

She admitted that she still has a hard time letting go of her things, but is glad she is able to do so.

"I think it stings a bit each time I let a piece go. I actually have told a number of buyers if they don't want the piece anymore or if they don't have a use for it, that I would buy it back because a lot of these pieces I really use to tell my stories through my personal shoots. So there's definitely some attachment, but I'm so glad to let it go and have someone find a new use for the piece or the pieces they buy," she said.

At first, it was just Shaira and three other friends, but the community grew because other stylists and people in the industry wanted to join in as well.

"Now that we are on our eighth year, I think we are around 20 plus or close to 30 sellers who are all in the creative industry. So these are mostly noted stylists, art directors, photographers, set designers. I think that's what makes this closet sale makes unique," the photographer said, adding that this sale sort of allows buyers to get into the closets of their favorite stylists and creatives, who have worked with a lot of celebrities.

"It's great because we all have our different styles and personalities so there's definitely a lot for everyone," Shaira added.

The sale is open to anyone (even pets!) and there is no entrance fee.

The group is reminding customers that parking is limited, but are also available in nearby establishments.
