Anyone up for some vegan ramen?

It's always good to try some non-meat dishes for a healthy boost into your diet, but never would we think that ramen could be an option.

Whether you're vegan or just on the hunt for some delicious non-meat eats, famed ramen chain Mendokoro Ramenba has just introduced a new menu comprised of a variety of plant-based ramen options that replicate their well-loved bowls.

Kicking off their vegan specials is their Vegan Shio Ramen (P540). The noodle dish with a salt-based broth is now topped with binchotan-grilled vegan meat instead of pork bones, and is drizzled with the complex and intense taste of truffle oil.

The heavily Japanese-themed food spot also made a vegan version of their most popular dish Shoyu (P550). Also topped with binchotan-grilled vegan meat, the soy sauce-based food item is made savory with the bold flavors of chili paste and garlic oil.

Last but not the least is their Vegan Tantanmen Ramen (P530), which is composed of plant-based ground meat mixed with several seasonings and spices. The dish is capped off with the added flare of chili oil for that much-needed kick of heat.

These can be ordered at Mendokoro Ramenba's newest branch in Japan’s famous Mitsukoshi Mall at Bonifacio Global City (BGC), the prices of which can increase because of the service charge. Aside from this branch, you can also find the famous ramen restaurant in four other locations: IKEA in Pasay City; Molito, Alabang; Icon Plaza in BGC, and Salcedo Village, Makati City.
