LOOK: The new Starbucks x Hello Kitty collection is here
Collaborative drops never fail to bring excitement—NewJeans x McDonald's, Starbucks x BLACKPINK, Shakey's x Potato Corner, and Coca-Cola x OREO to name a few. The latest one that's been getting a lot of attention is the new collection of Starbucks and Hello Kitty in celebration of the Sanrio character's 50th anniversary.
The beverage brand recently gave fans early access to the limited-edition merch and treated them to its new drink at its Macapagal branch. The items got sold out in two days ahead of their official release on Tuesday, Sept. 10.
The Hello Kitty-themed handcrafted beverages offer delight not just with their apple flavor but also Hello Kitty's signature bow that they're topped with. If you're in the mood for something refreshing, there's the Red Apple Frozen Tea (P195/P210/P225) that features a mix of Teavana® Zen Clouds Oolong Tea, elevated with chunky apple sauce and sugar cane syrup.
The Apple Pie Cream Frappuccino® Blended Beverage (P195/P210/P225), meanwhile, is a velvety-smooth drink inspired by Hello Kitty's favorite dessert—Mama's Apple Pie. At the bottom is apple sauce with chunky bits, followed by some creamy milk and cream Frappucino syrup that yield a rich—but not overwhelming—taste.
A stunning lineup of drinkware items—from ceramic mugs to water bottles and stainless steel tumblers—is also in store for you, with prices ranging from P1,145 to P1,995. Get a close look at each one in the gallery below.
Collecting Hello Kitty finds? You might also want to get your hands on the phone charm (P1,045) and plush toy (P1,625) showing the beloved character in Starbucks' classic green apron.
If you're thinking of upgrading your Starbucks card, check out the new design (P500) with Hello Kitty enjoying a Starbucks drink with her close pal, Tiny Chum.
The Starbucks x Hello Kitty collaboration is available in all Starbucks stores nationwide until supplies last. The phone charm, however, is only available in select branches.
Hello Kitty was created by Japanese company Sanrio in 1974. It became known in different parts of the globe for its adorable features and red bow on her left ear. The character continues to be loved by many to this day.
