Valentine's Day is all about spreading love, which isn't necessarily just in the romantic sense. With couples expectedly and automatically at the center stage, certain establishments are shining the spotlight on third wheels.
On Feb. 14, promos are especially made for them so they would feel loved and appreciated even in the absence of a partner.
Crowne Plaza Manila Galleria
Crowne Plaza Manila Galleria is offering third wheels free buffet lunch or dinner at its 7 Corners restaurant.
7 Corners has a buffet featuring Western, Italian, Indian, Japanese, and Asian cuisine.
Couples must avail of the lunch (P2,700) or dinner (P2,900) buffet, and their third wheel gets a free plate.
Halfway Coffee
This coffee shop along San Roque Street in Bagumbayan, Quezon City is also freeing third wheels of a few pesos.
There are, however, a few conditions. Couples must provide proof that they're really romantically involved. Photos, relationship status on Facebook, whatever floats the boat.
The third wheel, meanwhile, must be single, and the shop has a gentle reminder: "We trust you won't cheat on this one."
Once the lovers pay for their drinks, their third wheel gets either a 20% discount or a free coffee bun.
The promo is available for in-store orders.
Kopilism
Kopilism, a coffee shop in Valenzuela, is also attending to third wheels—and even fifth wheels.
It doesn't have stringent requirements—all the customers have to do is buy drinks.
Third wheels will get a 50% discount, but fifth wheels will get a free cup.
The promo is valid for dine-in, pick-up, and delivery.
Siowings
Winner, winner, chicken dinner? This unlimited wings spot along McArthur Highway in San Fernando, Pampanga is offering a 50% discount to third wheels.
Couples must order the usual P289 bottomless menu, and the third wheels will enjoy unlimited chicken with crackers, java rice, and iced tea.
Moreover, friends and family members may also serve as the pairs going with the third wheel.

This samgyupsal restaurant in San Roque, Antipolo might also be a good spot for third wheels and fifth wheels on Valentine's Day.
The pairs, however, must be game to not only pay for themselves. They must also give kisses on the cheeks—all documented on camera. Photos will be posted on the restaurant's social media pages.
The paying couples must likewise upgrade their order and avail of unlimited cheese, kimchi, and juice.
The third and fifth wheels, then, may eat for free.
What makes it sweeter is that the promo is valid not just on Valentine's Day itself but until Feb. 16.
