LIST: Last-minute Valentine's date ideas for those who got too busy to plan

Published Feb 12, 2025 3:27 pm

Missed out on planning something special for your loved one this Valentine's Day?

Luckily, there's still a few days before Feb. 14 and as the age-old saying goes, better late than never.

Even though you planned your date at the last minute, they don't need to be an afterthought. If you're planning for something to do other than dinner with your bae, here are some Valentine's Day activities you can do this weekend.

Sponsor a PAWS Furst date

This Valentine's month, the Philippine Animal Welfare Society is holding their annual "Furst date" where you can spend some time with the organization's rescue cats and dogs.

After checking the PAWS website, it looks like all slots for the fur baby dates are booked, but you can still spread the love by sponsoring a date for one of the rescues instead.

"This way, you'll send them all the love and cuddles they deserve—right from the comfort of your home, as PAWS' dedicated volunteers will spoil them for you and send you an update on your sponsored date," the organization said.

You can sponsor a date by visiting the PAWS website.

Art in Island

Fancy a museum date? Art in Island in Cubao is offering a Valentine's promo where you can score a buy 1 take 1 deal on tickets.

To join, present a screenshot of this post and a photo collage (digital or printed) of at least three photos of you and your loved ones at the ticket booth. When you purchase a regular walk-in ticket for adults, which is priced at P850, you'll get one free ticket.

The promo will run from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. from Feb. 11 to 14 and 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. from Feb. 15 to 16.

This love month, the mixed media art museum has a "Circle of Seasons" zone where you can take all sorts of romantic photos with your loved ones.

Bumi and Ashe's pottery class

Unleashing your creative side is one way to get to know your partner better and that's why fun dates where you can get your hands dirty are always fun. This Valentine's weekend, Bumi and Ashe is holding a pottery class you can book as a couple or with your friends.

For P3,500 per person, you can join the three-hour mug-making class—you can give your handiwork to your partner as a gift afterward, too. You can also take part in silver clay jewelry-making for P3,700 and make your own ring or charm pendants.

All classes will include food and drinks from the event's venue, Greyhound in Ayala Triangle Gardens Makati.

Intramuros X Escolta

Is your partner the artsy type? Wow them this weekend by taking them to Intramuros X Escolta Street Art Fair. Here, you can immerse yourself in a dynamic creative hub with art booths, workshops, and interactive activities.

On Feb. 15, you can join workshops where you create zines, explore journaling techniques, and take part in a group painting session.

Meanwhile, a collaborative drawing game and a mindful urban sketching session is happening on Feb. 16.

Sign up for the workshops here.

Vecina Market at The Corner House

Love is in the air at The Corner House in San Juan. Vecina Market is holding a pop-up on Feb. 14 and 15 where you can thrift clothes and accessories to your heart's desire, get tarot readings, and explore different artworks.

Live at the Garden Valentine's Edition

Want to treat your date to a drag experience? Mark your calendars for Feb. 15 as Ayala Malls Manila Bay is bringing Drag Race Philippines alumni for a "Galentine" performance.

Season 3 winner Maxie, season 1 winner Precious Paula Nicole, Viñas Deluxe, Khianna, and Angel are putting on a show on Saturday.

Meanwhile, on Feb. 16, Toneejay, Armi Millare, and Clara Benin are serenading the crowd with their hit songs.

The Live at the Garden shows are happening on Feb. 15 and 16, 7 p.m. at the Central Garden Fountain.
