UFC fighter Allan Nascimento dies at 34

Allan Nascimento, a UFC flyweight fighter, has died. He was 34 years old.

The UFC announced his death in a statement released on Monday, Aug. 3.

According to the American mixed martial arts promotion company, Nascimento was "found unresponsive after suffering an apparent heart attack in his sleep."

"Despite the efforts of the responding medical team, he was pronounced deceased at the scene," the UFC said.

"Our thoughts and deepest condolences are with Allan's family, friends, teammates, and loved ones during this incredibly difficult time," it added.

Per a BBC report, the mixed martial arts fighter joined the UFC in 2021. 

His last match before his death took place in June, where he fell to Mitch Raposo via a split decision.

Overall, he had a professional record of 22 wins and seven losses. He also recorded a 4-2 mark during his time in the UFC.
