Pride PH announces Quezon City's 'Love Laban' Pride Festival 2025 date
Mark your calendars and ready your rainbow flags, folks!
On Wednesday, April 2, non-profit organization Pride PH announced that Quezon City's annual "Love Laban" Pride Festival will take place on June 28. While details on the time and venue have yet to be disclosed, it's expected that the event will also take place at the Quezon City Memorial Circle like its previous editions.
"Mas MATAPANG at mas MASAYANG LABAN para sa LOVE! PUKSAAN NA!" Pride PH wrote in the caption.
As of writing, the advocacy group has not yet unveiled their new lineup of artists and celebrities who will perform at the event.
Last year's program took place on June 22 and saw the likes of Janella Salvador, Nica del Rosario, Justine Peña, Matthew Chang, Cup of Joe, and Sandiwa belting out some of their hit songs and soulful covers.
While Vice Ganda, BINI, Marina Summers, Ben&Ben, Gloc-9, JK Labajo, and more were also supposed to perform, organizers had to cut short the celebration due to the worsening weather.
Despite the program's abrupt end, Pride PH expressed excitement at having exceeded its target goal of 200,000 attendees. They also extended gratitude for the crowd's well-behaved nature.
"We are proud of our community along with the many allies that have joined us dahil ipinakita natin ang ating good behavior and also our resolve," they stated.
They later held a thanksgiving event on June 30.
One of the organization's main goals for the event is to push for the passage of the Sexual Orientation and Gender Identity/Expression Bill.
"LoveLaban tayong muli para ituloy ang ating nasimulan, at gamiting simula ang ating mga napagtagumpayan para sa mas malaking laban para sa SOGIE Equality Bill," Pride PH highlighted.
