Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba’s second season is finally happening!
The official Twitter account of Demon Slayer announced on Monday that the new season of the immensely popular anime series will debut this year.

Although the second season’s exact release date has yet to be revealed, the long-awaited announcement also confirmed that the storyline of the sequel series will cover the Entertainment District Arc.
For those who have yet to read the basis of the anime series, the new story arc will continue the events of Demon Slayer: Mugen Train, and will see Tanjiro Kamado and his companions Zenitsu and Inosuke help Sound Hashira Tengen Uzui find his wives (three of them, to be exact) in the red light district.
Following the announcement, a teaser for the second season has also been released, giving fans a glimpse of what’s to come in one of the most popular arcs in the series.

Based on the best-selling manga by Koyoharu Gotouge, the anime series, which first premiered in 2019, follows the story of Tanjiro and his journey to find a cure for his sister Nezuko, who turned into a demon following their family’s brutal murder.
The first season of Demon Slayer is available on Netflix.
