Want to secure your pass to Lin-Manuel Miranda's universally acclaimed Hamilton musical?

UnionBank, the official sponsor and pre-sale partner of Hamilton Philippines, has an offer where you can start buying tickets for the much-awaited play from April 17 at 10:00 a.m. to April 21 at 11:59 p.m. This is ahead of the public ticket selling that will be held on April 24 through TicketWorld.

You can avail of the tickets as long as you are a credit cardholder of Citibank. Aside from this, you can also join an extended booking period of two days shared with the waitlist sign-ups from April 20 at 10:00 a.m. to April 23 at 11:59 p.m.

Miranda first announced that his award-winning play will be coming to the Philippines last March 28. It is slated to premiere in the country this September at the Theater in Solaire in Parañaque.

The song-and-rap musical tells the story of American Founding Father Alexander Hamilton based on Ron Chernow's book Alexander Hamilton published in 2004.

Hamilton made its off-Broadway debut at New York City's Public Theater in February 2015.

According to a Forbes report published in 2020, the entire Hamilton franchise, which consists of the Broadway musical, film, and other merchandise, has earned over a $1 billion worldwide. More than half of it—$649.9 million (P36 billion), to be exact—came from the musical alone.

It has consequently become one of the highest-grossing musicals of all time along with hit modern classic The Lion King, Wicked, and The Phantom of the Opera.
