BTS x James Jean exhibit to open in Manila this month
BTS sure have plenty of things prepared for their fans. This time, an art exhibit inspired by the Korean group is coming to the Philippines.
The “BTS X JAMES JEAN: SEVEN PHASES EXHIBITION” will be landing in Manila this Oct. 27 to Dec. 3 on the 4th floor, Bldg. A. of SM Megamall.
Big Hit Exhibition took to Instagram to share the announcement, stating, “Prepare to be captivated by the beautiful collaboration between the GRAMMY-nominated pop icon BTS and the renowned artist James Jean.”
ARMYs and art enthusiasts will be taken on a journey through “artistry, creativity, and the world of BTS” through the collaboration of the K-pop group and the renowned artist.
The display made its debut at the Hybe Insight Museum in Seoul in 2021 and was subsequently showcased at Galeria Hauptwache in Frankfurt, Germany last June.
Jean highlighted that the COVID-19 travel restrictions prevented fans from being able to enjoy the art.
“It was difficult for BTS fans from all over the world to see these new paintings inspired by each member of the band,” he said.
Taipei-born American artist James Jean won the Bronze Lion at the 2008 Cannes Lions Festival in France and he was nominated for a Grammy Award for best packaging design in the same year.
