Great Scott! Christopher Lloyd dons Rick Sanchez' lab coat in live-action 'Rick and Morty' clips
Did you know that Rick and Morty was inspired by the 1985 flick Back to the Future? Who else better to play live-action Rick Sanchez than the actor who played Doc Brown, the character mad scientist grandpa was based on?
Back to the Future's Christopher Lloyd wears the lab coat once again—but as Rick this time—in shorts from Adult Swim. Jaeden Martell from Knives Out and It plays Morty alongside the Emmy Award-winning actor.
In the first clip, Lloyd does Rick's signature belch while we get an iconic "aw, jeez" from Martell. This Rick and Morty are in universe C-137, where the main storyline of the show takes place.
