LOOK: Inside the first Pop Mart store in PH
Pop Mart is no longer in the Philippines just as pop-up stores, as the collectible toy maker has opened its first-ever permanent shop at SM Megamall.
Those who love their anik-anik can now browse the collections at the newly opened store located on the second floor of the mall's building A.
What you'll see first at the entrance of the store is a giant Hirono Echo Series figurine, with its cute frowning face greeting visitors.
On the other side of the entrance is an art display of the monsters—but only their silhouettes are seen. Can you spot your fave?
Further inside, the store is lined with shelves of blind boxes that you can add to your cart to your heart's content! Each is a showcase of the different characters like Labubu, Hirono, CRYBABY, Dimoo, Molly, Twinkle Twinkle, Dimoo, and more.
You'll also find acrylic cases where you get a sneak peek of the figurines in different collections.
In addition, there are bag charms in a wide variety of designs and colors—perfect for completing your daily 'fits!
Apart from the original characters, Pop Mart also has collectibles from beloved franchises like Harry Potter and Zootopia 2, which recently hit theaters.
Pop Mart love
Pauleen Luna, who were among the celebrities in attendance at the store opening on Dec. 18, told PhilSTAR L!fe that she's very happy about Pop Mart getting its own permanent space.
"My daughter (Tali) super loves Pop Mart so whenever we go abroad, we really fall in line just to get her favorite Pop Mart toys. Her dad (Vic Sotto) falls in line for her," she shared.
According to the actress, her daughter likes Labubu and Crybaby.
"Ako, I like Hachipupu," she added, showing her yellow bag charm.
Meanwhile, singer Jed Madela, who loves Hirono, shared that he started collecting Pop Mart toys before the pandemic.
"It keeps giving us happiness," he said about his collection.
Like Jed, Marian Rivera, who's known for liking Labubu, has taken a liking to Hirono.
"Nakikita ko na parang kahawig siya ng anak kong lalaki, kaya na-in love ako," she said.
Previously, Pop Mart Southeast Asia Business Director Jeremy Lee told L!fe that the brand would focus its energies on permanent stores in the country. It previously opened pop-up stores at SM Mall of Asia in November 2024—its first—and at SM Makati earlier in February.
Another store is set to open at SM Aura.
