Pop Mart stores to open in SM Megamall, SM Aura

Attention Hirono, Labubu, and CRYBABY lovers! Pop Mart is opening stores in SM Megamall and SM Aura.

Pop Mart Philippines and SM Supermalls announced the upcoming stores on social media on June 22.

According to the posts, the Pop Mart at SM Megamall will be the brand's first store in the Philippines. It will be located at Level 2 of Mega A.

Meanwhile, The store at SM Aura will be found at Level 2 of the Taguig mall.

There are no details yet about when the stores will be open.

Currently, collectors can score figurines and more at the Pop Mart pop-ups at the SM Mall of Asia and SM Makati.

Jeremy Lee, Pop Mart Southeast Asia Business Director, previously told the media that the brand would focus its energies on permanent stores in the Philippines.

He also said in an October 2024 interview with PhilSTAR L!fe that the opening of the pop-up in the country comes as Southeast Asia is filled with lots of young people and folks in the creative industry. 

"There's a huge affinity with the creatives, with creatives, being attuned to design or fashion and styles. That's why I think the Philippines is a great market to come into, especially [because] Pop Mart is all about art, entertainment, and culture," he said.

POP MART is a Chinese toy company that produces collectible designer toys like Labubu, MOLLY, Hirono, and CRYBABY, often packaged in "blind boxes." It has stores in Singapore, New Zealand, Australia, Japan, South Korea, Taiwan, and the U.K., among others.
