The official trailer for Supergirl is finally out!

DC Studios dropped the trailer on Mar. 31, chronicling Kara Zor-El's (Milly Alcock) first adventure with her pet dog Krypto.

The trailer opened in the present day with her cousin Superman (David Corenswet) sending a video message expressing worry about her being constantly in space.

"Yeah, well, that's the thing, Clark. I have no people," Kara retorts while a flashback of Krypton, her homeworld, flashes on screen, showcasing the origin of her then-puppy Krypto.

The scene shifts to Kara in tears as she is sent off a spaceship in what appears to be the last shielded structure on her dying world.

The next scene shows Kara's spaceship arriving on an unknown planet as she and Krypto spend time together. But all the fun and games end as a group of aliens occupies Kara's ship. Krypto comes to the rescue only to be shot down.

"What can I do?" Kara asks, as an unknown girl says the dog has only three days to live without an antidote.

"You cannot give up on me," Kara says to an injured Krypto lying on its side.

The trailer then showcases Kara's adventures on the planet as she tries to save Krypto with all her flight, might, and laser eyes, while encountering strange characters along the way, including Jason Momoa's Lobo seen in full antihero garb and in action alongside the superheroine.

Fans last saw Alcock's Supergirl when she made a cameo toward the end of James Gunn's Superman. She showed up at Kal-El's Fortress of Solitude to pick up Krypto. In December 2025, a two-minute teaser trailer introduced audiences to her origins.

The film is directed by Craig Gillespie, written by Ana Nogueira, and is based on the comic book series Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow, written by Tom King and illustrated by Bilquis Evely.

It will also star Eve Ridley, Mattias Schoenaerts, David Krumholtz, Emily Beecham, Ferdinand Kingsley, Diarmaid Murtagh, Alice Hewkin, and Wil Coban.

Supergirl will hit international theaters on June 26.
