WATCH: First teaser trailer for final 'Conjuring' movie out now
Prepare to scream your lungs out as the teaser trailer for the final Conjuring movie about the cases of real-life demonologists Ed and Lorraine Warren has been released.
The two-minute trailer posted by Warner Bros. starts with the Warrens' infamous artifact room that's jam-packed with haunted and cursed objects. Longtime fans will likely recognize a few of the items such as Crooked Man's toy, the unsettling painting of the demon nun Valak, and the infamous doll, Annabelle.
The scene then cuts to Ed explaining that he and his wife have tackled "maybe a thousand" cases of paranormal activities and that "anything can happen."
Viewers are then treated to some horrifying imagery as the Warrens deal with another supernatural entity that's terrorizing a family.
One scene shows a baby doll floating in the air, seemingly controlled by a scary old woman. Another shows a woman telling Lorraine in a demonic voice, "We've been waiting so patiently for you," as she starts to crawl towards her before the screen fades to black.
Conjuring: Last Rites is the ninth entry in the Conjuring universe. It is directed by Michael Chaves and produced by franchise architects James Wan and Peter Safran.
A seasoned director within the Conjuring universe, Chaves also helmed The Curse of La Llorona, The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It, and The Nun II.
Vera Farmiga and Patrick Wilson reunite to portray the real-life paranormal investigators as they tackle one last spine-chilling case.
Farmiga and Wilson star alongside Mia Tomlinson and Ben Hardy, who portray Ed and Lorraine’s daughter Judy Warren and her boyfriend, Tony Spera, as well as Steve Coulter, Rebecca Calder, Elliot Cowan, Kíla Lord Cassidy, Beau Gadsdon, John Brotherton and Shannon Kook.
The film will be released in local theaters on Sept. 3.
