WATCH: Disney drops new teaser for 'Lilo & Stitch' live-action adaptation
Disney has given a look at more of the chaotic yet fun adventures of Lilo and Stitch!
In the teaser released on Friday, April 25, alien creatures are seen being alarmed when dog-like creature Stitch escapes from the lab in outer space.
“We have a dangerous threat. He has sharp teeth, sharp claws. He escaped,” the alien said.
It then showed some of Stitch’s adventures on the tropical island. “He’s not from our world, but he’s making himself right at home,” the voiceover said.
Lilo introduced her best buddy to one of the island people. “Look, I got a dog,” she said, to which he replied, “You sure that’s a dog?”
The new teaser also showed the trio—Agent Cobra Bubbles (played by Courtney B. Vance), Jumba (Zach Galifianakis), and Pleakley (Billy Magnussen)—out on the island to capture Stitch.
The film stars young actress Maia Kealoha as Lilo, Sydney Elizebeth Agudong as the elder sister Nani, and Kaipot Dudoit as David Kawena, and Chris Sanders, who will voice Stitch.
The movie, directed by Oscar-nominated filmmaker Dean Fleischer Camp, is a live-action remake of the 2002 animated offering that follows "the wildly funny and touching story of a lonely Hawaiian girl and the fugitive alien who helps to mend her broken family."
Lilo & Stitch live-action is set to hit cinemas on May 23.
