The 2020 Philippine Readers and Writers Festival goes virtual
Heads up bookworms and wordsmiths! Because not even a pandemic can hinder the Pinoy’s love for books and literature, one of this year’s most awaited fairs is coming online.
On a recent Facebook post, the National Book Store has just announced that the 2020 Philippine Readers and Writers Festival would be going online, running from September 28 until October 4.
This year’s theme, BORDERLESS: Bringing Stories from Asia to the World, hints about interesting talks and discussions from notable Asian and Filipino authors.
According to the announcement, the weeklong virtual event will offer an exciting series of virtual book discussions and panels that attendees can enjoy from the comforts of home. There will be talks about books, literature, and culture from top Filipino writers and artists – all for free.
